Oak Park, MI. – November 18, 2013 – Eaton Steel Bar Company is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of The Detroit Free Press Top Work Places in Michigan.
The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The employee survey is conducted by Energage, formerly WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with 37 major publishing partners and recognizes a list of 150 National Top Workplaces. Over the past year, more than 5,000 organizations and 1 in every 88 employees in the U.S. have turned to WorkplaceDynamics to better understand what’s on the minds of their employees.

As a family-owned company, the Eaton Family of Companies tries to foster the family atmosphere in the workplace by having events and amenities’ for employees. The family atmosphere was prevalent at our 60th Anniversary Celebration for Employees where we had over 600 employees and family members attend the event at the Zoo. Each employee also received an annual pass for themselves and their families as a thank you from the company and Goodman Family.

The newly constructed 5000 square foot Goodman Family Wellness Center (GFWC) is the latest addition for employees to the Eaton Steel Family of Companies. The GFWC includes treadmills, exercise bikes, arc trainers, free weights, fitness room, kitchen facilities, locker rooms, laundry equipment, and four full-time trainers. Employees can work out from 6:00 am to 11 pm.
Other perks that our employees enjoy include Tiger’s games, company golf outings, pot luck lunches, fruit daily, and bagel Thursday’s.
