Covid-19 Update: ESBC Remains Open During Michigan Stay at Home Executive Order

RE: Covid-19 and the Michigan Stay at Home Executive Order

We hope you and our entire family of Employees, Suppliers and Customers remain healthy during these challenging times.

Yesterday, the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, issued an executive “stay at home” order for non-essential businesses. The Eaton Steel Bar Company produces and distributes for SBQ steel customers in Michigan and many other States which have issued executive orders to “stay at home” or “shelter at home”.

In response to this order, the Eaton Steel Bar Company is operating as an Essential Business. Eaton is a critical supplier to direct and indirect customers who serve many industries that are critical to life-sustaining activities during this health pandemic.

We continue to experience demand from both suppliers & customers deemed Essential Businesses. They are requesting we will be operating as an Essential Business to continue to support their production requirements. We are currently operating all Eaton companies and plants with the support of our ownership and employees. If this changes we will notify you immediately. We look forward to doing our part to support all essential suppliers and customers operating and combating the Covid-19 pandemic.

The safety and health of our employees must remain the top priority within our operating facilities. Together, we will win this challenge without impacting the health and safety of our employees, suppliers and customers.

Today, all communications are vital and please advise any changes or updates in your company operating status as this situation unfolds. We continue to be open for business!
