1144 A-311 Cold Drawn Steel Bar
Cold drawn 1144 steel bar to ASTM A311 (B) is a process by which 1144 is drafted twice as much as a typical cold drawn bar. It is then stress relieved in a precisely controlled furnace to improve the mechanical properties. The process achieves strength that is comparable to quenching and tempering, while achieving the performance of a free machining steel.
