86L20 Cold Drawn Steel Bar

86L20 grade is a carburizing steel that has high case hardness and a strong core, with the addition of nickel adding toughness and ductility. Grade 86L20 responds well to polishing and finishing, and can be heat treated to achieve maximum hardness. Typical applications for this grade of steel include pinions, gears, crankshafts and more. This grade is not recommended for applications over 400 degrees Fahrenheit; exceeding this temperature will result in reduced ductility.
